  • How long does pipe relining last?

Pipe relining is a long-term solution with a 50-year life expectancy of the product. We guarantee a 25-year warranty which comes with every pipe relining solution, no matter how small or large the plumbing job is.

  • How does pipe relining work?

The process begins with our plumbers conducting a customer consultation and CCTV inspection of your drainage system to determine and locate any problems within the plumbing drains. We then hydro jet the drain using a high-pressure water jet and cleaning tools to clean and prepare the plumbing pipe.

A custom-made liner/bladder is manufactured and inserted into the drain and carefully pulled/pushed into position, spanning over the damaged area. Our plumbers then inflate using compressed air — which expands and forced the epoxy filled liner to conform and bond to the internal bore of the existing drain.

The liner is left to cure, creating a pipe within a pipe. Once cured, the bladder is deflated and removed, leaving the newly created structural liner set in place. Our plumbers then run a final CCTV inspection. Once approved, the plumbing pipe is ready for full use.

  • How much does pipe relining cost?

Every plumbing job is different, depending on factors such as accessibility, risk, pipe size, length and the number of plumbing junctions. This is why our process begins with a customer consultation and CCTV inspection of the drainage system to determine and locate the specific problem with the plumbing drains. This allows us to provide a free, no-obligation plumbing quote with the most accurate pricing.

Be aware of plumbing companies willing to quote on pipe relining, sight unseen, as you could be in for a nasty surprise after you have already committed your hard–earned money.

  • Why most plumbers wouldn’t recommend pipe relining?

Most plumbers lack the equipment, training, and certification needed to carry out pipe relining. However, there are some cases when pipe relining is not an option and an excavation is necessary, such as when a plumbing pipe has collapsed.

  • How can I tell if pipe relining would fix my problem?

In close to 30 years of plumbing experience, we have come across and repaired the majority of plumbing pipe configurations possible. Our R&D department has adapted our systems and methodologies to cope with each scenario, so you can be confident we can develop a way to fix your plumbing problem.

  • What are the symptoms of blocked drains?

Slow Draining – One of the most apparent signs of a blocked drain is slow emptying of the sink or tub. The problem typically becomes worse over time. Slow drainage can also occur in the shower and cause water to accumulate on the floor.

Foul Odours – When a blocked drain is present in your plumbing… water, hair and debris continuously accumulate. Stagnant water and decomposing solids have a pungent odour that can spread through the air and be quite noticeable in the area around your sinks, showers, tubs and toilets.

Gurgling Sounds – A locally blocked drain will often cause the affected fixture to gurgle as the water drains. If you have a main sewer drain blockage, you may hear gurgling in your tub or shower when you drain your sink as well.

Changes in Flush – A blocked drain can make the water levels in your toilet rise higher when you flush, or it could affect filling and lead to lower water levels in the bowls. A main sewer drain blockage can also cause water to flow into the tub or shower when you flush the toilet.

Also be aware of foreign objects in your toilet bowl, patches in your yard that are always wet and/or cracked walkways from sink holes.

  • What diameters and pipe length can be relined?

Plumbing pipe diameters that range from 40mm – 225mm can be repaired. Sections of plumbing pipe as short as 30cm can also be relined.

  • How long does pipe relining take?

Most plumbing jobs can be carried out within a day or two, depending on the length and complexity of the plumbing pipe reline.
